The past year has been challenging for all of us. It certainly started gloomily, but by the summer, things got brighter, and we enjoyed plenty of UK camping trips and Tabiki!
As we close the curtain on 2021, we take a look at some of our favourite moments from the last twelve months.
2021 New Gear releases
We’ve debuted a number of items over the last year, from sizable additions like the hybrid shelter Living Lodge to smaller ones such as the Titanium Chopsticks. However, without doubt, the biggest hits were the Takibi Fireplace Wall Floga (L) and Titanium Aurora Bottle, which demonstrate the craftsmanship of Tsubame-Sanjo’s artisans, and our commitment to quality, and durability.
Camping with Snow Peakers
In March, we invited a small group of ‘Snow Peakers’ to a campsite just outside of London, where they tried out some of our shelters and camping gear. Connecting with our customers and building a community is super important to us, and it was a pleasure to meet them and share some camping stories over Tabiki.
Snow Peak UK New HQ
Like many others, we’ve been forced to adapt to the ‘new normal’: think working from home, and plenty of online meetings! In Spring, we closed the doors of our small office in Central London, and this Summer, opened a brand new HQ in a lovely old barn in Surrey, which features its very own camping field!
Staff Camping
Our staff camping events are super important to us at Snow Peak UK. Due to Covid we only managed two camping trips in 2020, but luckily, this year, we’ve had many more. We hiked, swam in streams, gazed at the stars, and of course, had plenty of Tabiki (thanks to the Takibi Tarp Hexa set with IGT, we were able to do it, no matter the weather!)
Snow Peak Festival
This October we threw our second Snow Peak Festival in the UK. It was an amazing weekend, we hosted a range of workshops at our London St James’s store and had the pleasure of meeting and connecting with the Snow Peak community.
We would like to thank you all for your support over the past twelve months. We are still a small team and we know that we’re not perfect, but we are always trying to improve and give our customers the best possible experience. We appreciate your honest opinion and feedback on our products and services.
