Introducing The second collaboration of Snow Peak x The Inoue Brothers Alpaca knit wear collection.
The Inoue Brothers was founded in 2004 by two Japanese brothers, Satoru and Kiyoshi Inoue - born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is a design/art studio based on a common love for two cultures, Japanese sensibility and Scandinavian simplicity. They call it Scandinasian design.
By partner shipping with the Paco Marca Alpaca Institute in the highlands of Peru, The Inoue brothers have developed the world's highest quality “Supreme Royal Alpaca” and they have become the world leading experts in alpaca products. They also helps local herders make a good profit from their traditional lifestyle by producing alpaca knit products.
The Inoue Brothers has a similar fieldwork spirit to Snow Peak, which has been producing products as a platform for local industries such as Tsubame-sanjo. Resonating with each other's manufacturing philosophy, this second collaboration has become true.
In AW19 season, we designed and produced 9 items such as poncho blanket and fringe coat, jumper and scarves using super soft baby alpaca. You can feel on your skin the softness of the pure alpaca grown in a harsh environment at an altitude of 4,000m, and you can also imagine the Peruvian creator who lives with the alpaca in the same harsh environment.
