STARTER CAMP

We are excited to welcome you to camp with us on the 26th April at the scenic Embers Polesden Lacey campsite. Located within the beautiful Polesden Lacey National Trust Estate, surrounded by a variety of local walks, activities and the heritage stately home. Aside from being our friends and partners, Embers are carbon positive leaders in sustainability, who even plant one tree for every booking. Surrounded by 1,400 acres of renowned natural beauty, there’s so much to see and explore when camping at the campsite. Wander down the many trails from the campsite into the Surrey Hills - nature at its best! Embers Polesden Lacey is a real hidden gem.

We’ll be providing a tent for you to set up and a basic sleeping pad but we would recommend bringing something more substantial to sleep on if you’re a cold sleeper. You’ll also need to bring some bedding and a pillow with you; a sleeping bag or even your duvet from home. Shower and washrooms with hot water, flushing toilets and underfloor heating The Embers Snack Bar serving coffees, delicious hot food, and all your snack & drink essentials. Full access to the National Trust Polesden Lacey Estate, including the house and gardens. Entrance is included with your stay and at no extra cost.

WHAT TO BRING

SLEEPING

We’ll be providing a tent for you to set up and a basic sleeping pad but we would recommend bringing something more substantial to sleep on if you’re a cold sleeper. You’ll also need to bring some bedding and a pillow with you; a sleeping bag or even your duvet from home.

For sleeping clothing, we’d recommend bringing a set of sleep clothes, a low-profile beanie hat, a snood and warm socks. If you really feel the cold, you can bring a hot water bottle with you.

COOKING

We’re excited to teach you how to light a re and learn to cook your dinner on it. All ingredients will be provided with instructions and the Snow Peak and Embers team will be on hand to offer guidance.

You’ll need to bring a plate, bowl, cup and cutlery. Again, anything from home can work but we recommend anything titanium, enamel, stainless steel (something non-breakable).

There are washing up facilities available on site to keep things clean.

A breakfast fruit bowl will be provided for the morning and additional breakfast options will be available from the Embers Shack or Polsden Lacey Café at additional cost.

Lunch isn’t provided on Wednesday, we recommend bringing something yourself, alternately the Polesden Lacey Café has a lunch menu.

CLOTHING

We’d recommend you bring with you some warm and waterproof clothing in case the weather isn’t what we’d hope for. Walking through long grass can sometimes defeat even the best walking boots so bring a spare change of socks too.
